Honoring Veterans

Just as many other communities across the nation will do tomorrow, Junction City, will take time to honor America's war-fighting soldiers.

Junction City's Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the Municipal Building, 700 N. Jefferson St,, with Phil Irby — the state's commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars — serving as the featured speaker. Brenda Boyd, the program director for the Geary County Veterans Alliance, said Wednesday's ceremony would be basic, but heartfelt.
