- Trim: How about any trim around your doors and windows? The same idea applies. It really helps to define the shape of your house, as well as showcasing different features, when a fresh coat of paint is applied.
- Gutters: Here’s something else that you probably don’t look at very often. They will last for years, but they won’t stay looking great without some attention.

How does it look? Is it dented, tilted, or is the paint peeling? Your mailbox is just another one of those little details that affect your home’s curb appeal. You could get a new one, spruce up the one that you have, or even add some decorative house numbers to make it look crisper.

Adding plants and flowers is a great way to improve the curb appeal. Here are some ways you can incorporate them into your yard to make it really stand out.
- Line your sidewalks and driveway with decorative perennials or shrubs.
- Create round mulch beds around your trees where you can plant seasonal blooms.
- Add windowsill planters to give you some color underneath your windows.
- Use decorative planters on your front porch with colorful plants.

The light fixtures on your front porch, by the garage, and near the driveway might just need some cleaning. Sometimes, a little elbow grease is all that you need to make something look like new again.
