4 Ways to improve your Business with Web Content

0

When it comes to content for your business, you have a lot more options than just writing blog posts. If you’re starting out with content marketing or you’re ready to mix up your strategy, consider these four types of web content that will promote your business:

1. Infographics

An infographic is a visual image that presents information in an esthetically pleasing manner. This type of content gets viewed and shared more than traditional types of content. The best part about infographics is that they pack a ton of information into one image.

2. Memes

“Memes aren’t ideal for every business, but if you have something that you want to present in a funny or lighthearted manner, consider creating a meme,” said Counterpart Communication Design. The benefit of creating a meme that your audience loves is that they’ll share it over and over. This type of content has a high potential of going viral. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to make with a basic free image creation tool.

3. Videos

Video has exploded in the past few years and there are no signs of it slowing down. There are so many types of video that your brand could use – choosing the one that’s right for you has a lot to do with the style you’re after. Let your branding inform the type of video you choose. Everything from explainer videos and behind-the-scenes tours to animated videos and music videos are used by brands to connect with their audience.

4. Guides

Guides are detailed, long pieces of content, similar to an epic, explanatory blog post. Guides incorporate important information with visual imagery to create a piece that people will want to keep reading despite its size. Guides are excellent for collecting e-mail addresses – promising to send someone a useful guide for free will entice people to signup for your mailing list. Remember that guides need to look good, even though they’re text-heavy. Make sure that you work with a quality writer as well as a talented designer. Readability takes several things into context, including writing style, visuals, presentation and layout.

You don’t need to try all four of these options – or any of them for that matter. The type of content that works for one business may not work for another. Try out one type of content for a month, see if it’s driving more traffic to your website, shop or social media, and if it’s not, try out another. Also remember that as trends change, you’ll want to update your content strategy.
